Description
SE precision cleaver to prepare fibre before splicing: cleave angle below 0.5°, tungsten steel blade with 16 positions, a lifetime of 48,000 cleaves. It works as well with a fusion splicer as for fitting fast connectors.
A clean, perpendicular fibre end face for a low-loss splice.
Circular blade made in Germany, hardness 96°.
Rotate the blade when a position wears: 48,000 cleaves in total.
Bare fibre with 250 µm coating or 900 µm tight buffer.

One blade, 16 positions, 48,000 cleaves
The circular blade turns one notch when the cleave weakens: 16 positions for a lifetime of 48,000 cleaves. Its 96° hardness keeps the edge consistent.
A cleave under 0.5°
The carriage guides the blade in a straight line under the clamped fibre: the end face is perpendicular to within 0.5°, the condition for a low-loss splice.
Tungsten steel blade
Blade in tungsten steel made in Germany. The grooved holder takes bare fibre as well as PVC or Kevlar jacketed cables.
Adjustable blade height
If the cleave becomes uneven, loosen the two screws and adjust the blade height: the cleaver regains its precision without going back to the workshop.
